This year’s class for the Knoxville High School Hall of Fame has been announced; four esteemed members of the Panther family will be permanently enshrined, as the school pays tribute to their achievements.

This year’s inductees include Coach Derald Swisher; he was a girls basketball coach back in the 1970’s, posting a record of 103 and 21 and leading the girls team to the 1975 tournament.

Ann Davis – Kuenstling was a member of the Class of 1980, and an All-State volleyball player; Ben Willets graduated in 1952, and was an All-State center in football.

John Carle was a 1956 grad and All State in basketball; he went on to Central College and was an All-American. He would return to Knoxville and lead the girls to the 1964 girls state golf title, while winning multiple conference boys basketball titles in the late ’60’s and early ’70’s.

This year’s official induction ceremony for the Knoxville High Hall of Fame will be on January 18th.
