Dozens of Pella residents had the chance to view detailed plans for the upcoming downtown streetscape at an open house Thursday evening.
Members of RDG Planning and Design, the firm in charge of drafting concepts, shared information about what the project may look like, with a lot of the direction determined by public feedback and the work of a steering committee.
Patrick Dunn with RDG tells KRLS News the design team received additional responses from members of the community, with the next month intended to further refine the plans they are developing.
Garden and Associates also discussed the long-term phasing of the project, with the first four phases planned starting in 2019 and continuing on a yearly basis through 2022. RDG will make a final presentation to the Pella City Council at their November 20th meeting.
