The Pella Christian and PCM cross country teams traveled to Tipton last night for the state qualifying meet and saw their season come to a close.

The Pella Christian boys had the highest finish of the area teams finishing seventh out of the loaded 13 team field with 171 points. Tipton took home the title with 37 points. Lucas Bandstra led the Eagles in 19th place with a time of 17:43 and was just 10 seconds shy of qualifying for state. Daniel Mora Demestri was right behind in 20th and Brayton Jeffer was 32nd. PCM finished in eighth place with 256 points. Beau Webb paced the team in 37th with a time of 18:34. Jason Stafford finished in 39th and Ayrton Breckenridge was 58th.
The PCM girls finished eighth out of 12 teams with 220 points while Mid-Prairie won the event with 53. Megan Townley finished her career in 26th in 21:25. Klaire Jungling was 34th and Margo Chipps came in at 50th. Pella Christian finished the night in 10th with 249 points. Angelina Evans led the Eagles in 35th with a time of 22:01. Sydney Hooyer was 38th and Lindsay Breon was 55th.
