While 13 runners will depart from the Knoxville Cross Country Program this season, Coach Michael Splavec is excited for the future and the runners that will come up from the middle school program. Splavec credits former Knoxville Cross Country Standout now middle school coach Jamie VanderVeer for his effort in getting them ready for the high school level. Next year’s eighth graders now have been a solid group all season and had one of the better teams in the area.
