A play with several stories about finding and keeping love will be performed by students at Pleasantville High School.

“Maybe Baby, it’s You” is this year’s fall play at the school; rather than having a single narrative, it will be a series of vignettes about romance.

Rebecca Perryman is in charge of the school production; she tells KNIA/KRLS News the underlying theme is how people cope with finding and keeping the ones they love.

“Each of the scenes are comedic in nature, but towards the end the scene tend to get serious,” Perryman says. “The theme is kind of like finding your true love, or putting up with somebody that you love.”

She says because the show is made up of several independent stories, more students can be featured in significant roles; rehearsal can be tailored to their schedules, but the final staging and transition between the scenes will take the most work while leading up to opening night.

“Maybe Baby, it’s You” will be staged on Friday, November 9th and Saturday, November 10th at 7:00 p.m. with a dinner performance on Saturday night. There will also be a matinee show Sunday, November 11th at 2:00 p.m.
