The Knoxville Public Library will be cutting back its hours on some days, due to the holiday season and special events.

The library’s temporary home at the former East Elementary School will close early on Thursday at 5 o’clock for Living Windows; on Thursdays, the building usually shuts down for the day at 8:00.

Then the following evening, they’ll close down a half-hour before their usual 5 p.m. Friday closing time at 4:30 for a staff meeting.

The library will also close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21st, the day before Thanksgiving; it will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and re-open for its normal hours that Saturday.
