For the first time in school history the PCM Mustangs will play in their first football state championship today.

The undefeated and number one ranked Mustangs will take on the one loss Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley Nighthawks in the class 2A final at 2 pm. It’s safe to say the Mustangs will have plenty of support in Cedar Falls as PCM cancelled classes today so that all the Mustang fans could make it to the game. The Mustangs will look to play as they have all season by scoring early, establishing a lead and playing stout defense. The Nighthawks lead by senior quarterback JT Van’t Hul who was hurt in the state semifinal will look to spread out the PCM defense and establish a quick lead themselves. It’s should be a good clash of two class 2A Titans and it can all be heard right here on KNIA with pregame starting at 1:30 pm and kickoff set for 2 pm.
