One holiday charity effort has seen a last-minute surge of applicants for their assistance come Christmas time; right now they can meet the needs of those who are looking for help, but can always use more people willing to give.

All Wrapped Up is accepting applications at the Celebrate Church in Knoxville; they will provide struggling families with holiday gifts and other items, having each donor adopt a family in order to help them out this season.

At one point, there were more people willing to help than there were families seeking their assistance; but Aubrey Schneider with the Celebrate Church tells KNIA/KRLS News with the holiday season approaching the gap has narrowed, so more people willing to give and receive are expected to sign up.

“One of the fun things about being a part of this organization is seeing the amount of people that want to bless their community members; and we’ve had lots of people step forward that are willing to take lots of names,” Schneider says.

“We were at a point where we were just waiting for those names to come in, and now it seems like those are rolling in and we’ve got more than enough people so far to help provide for those needs.”

Applications will be accepted at Celebrate Church from now through December 6th; their offices are open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Potential contributors are also invited to come in and offer their services, checking to see which families are available and which ones can fit within the donor’s budget.
