The Pleasantville girls’ basketball team opened up the season exactly how you would hope with a 48-36 victory over Saydel on the road.

The Trojans got balanced scoring led by Carlie Sloan with 10 points. Sydnee McKinney and Taylor Foley each chipped in with nine points and Josie Hutchings added eight.

The Trojans start up the season at 1-0 and get back at it Tuesday in their home opener against Eddyville-Blakesburg.
