The Pella City Council took the next step in completing improvements at the city’s wastewater treatment facility at their meeting this week.

City Administrator Mike Nardini tells KRLS News a resolution approved by the council selects Fox Engineering to oversee the nearly $5 million renovation mandated by the Iowa DNR through their permitting process. Nardini says staff is exploring how to minimize rate increases to pay for the project, which is slated to begin sometime late next year after bids go out in the late spring or early summer.
