The Simpson Storm basketball teams split their games today in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the Cruzin Classic, with the men winning 84-66 over SUNY Poly, and the women falling to Marietta 71-60.

The men started off with a huge first half, dropping 43 points while holding the Wildcats to 26 despite leading scorer Conor Riordan out with a foot injury. Adam Reiter took up the scoring load dropping 21 points, while Ben Rajewski dropped 15. The Storm improve to 8-2 with the win and will play against New England College today.

The Storm women had an off shooting night in their defeat, scoring only 24 first half points with Marietta going on a 9-0 run before the break to take a commanding lead. Jenna Taylor scored 15 to lead the Storm, who shot just 30% from the field. The loss drops the Storm to 7-2, and they will take on Curry today to end their road trip.
