The City of Indianola filed an appeal Monday with the Warren County District Court to review the decision of the Warren County Board of Adjustment to deny the special use permit applied for by the city to build their wastewater treatment plant.

The Board of Adjustment denied the city’s request in November to build a new plant northwest of the city limits near the intersection of Grimes Street and 110th Avenue. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News this is another step in the process for the city.

“What we are asking the district court is to review the decision made by Board of Adjustment which is a quasi-judicial organization. The court will be looking at the facts and that’s where we stand today.”

A ruling on the appeal has not yet been made from the Warren County District Court.
