If you had a natural tree for Christmas, the Marion County Conservation Department is ready to take it off your hands.

The department has a drop-off site available for anyone wishing to discard an old tree; from now through January 15th, you can take your old tree to the site just inside the main entrance to Marion County Park in Knoxville.

There will also be a tree pick-up run on Tuesday, January 2nd; this will be the only opportunity for you to have your tree taken from your home, so you should have it curbside by 8:00 a.m. that day.

All decorations, tinsel, tree stands and metal fasteners should be removed, and trees should not be in plastic bags.
