It’s been two years since the Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance was formed from the former chamber of commerce and Pella Area Development Corporation, and work on large-scale initiatives in conjunction with the city continues into year three.

Executive Director Karen Eischen tells KRLS News one of the biggest collaborative efforts in the community has been the start-up on a telecommunications utility in the city.

Heading into the New Year, some of the key projects they are working on include sharing the results of a recent child care survey for the region and working with residents to create more activities locally for adults.
