Pella Christian defensive end Josh Adkison is joining a Division III powerhouse to continue his football career.

The 2nd-team All-State selection is joining Bethel University in Arden Hills, Minnesota. The Royals were ranked No. 6 in the country at the conclusion of the 2018 season after making in to the DIII NCAA quarterfinals this season, and have ended years rated in the top 25 eight times in the last fifteen season, and head coach Steve Johnson is No. 4 on the all-time active coaches wins list with his 218 career victories.

Adkison led the Eagles with 89 tackles and four solo sacks this year, and also added 12 stops for a loss this past fall.
