Over the last several years, Simpson College has been tailoring several programs around building their students towards seamlessly joining the professional workforce.
Simpson President Jay Simmons tells KNIA News, Simpson College drew inspiration from what businesses around the state told them they wanted most in a new hire
“Unfailingly what we hear is they need graduates who can write well, work well with others and teams, have a sense of collaboration, they are able to make a public presentation persuasively and convincingly, and have a sense of how they work in a community and larger organization.”
Simmons went on to say this is an issue all liberal arts colleges face around the country, is keeping up with how the culture changes with each generation on training students as best as they can.
