Fresh off winning a state title last year, PCM’s Lucas Roland was recently recognized as a top 15 finalist for the 2019 Dan Gable Wrestler of the Year in Iowa.

Fareway Stores and Body Armor presented the finalists in coordination with IAwrestle and the Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association. Nominations were being accepted from high school coaches and the IWCOA narrowed it down to 15 in class 2A. Roland now needs the public’s help with fans having the ability to vote once per day until January 14th. At that time the list will be narrowed down to seven and another round of voting will determine the three finalists.

All finalists are invited to the season end luncheon gala in February where a winner is announced for all three classes.
