Four Indianola High School fall sports teams were recognized for their academic achievements in the latest update from the Iowa High School Athletic Association.

Cross country and the football cheerleaders were honored with Distinguished Academic Achievement, reaching a 3.5 and 3.35 GPA as a team respectively, while the football and fall golf teams were honored with Excellence in Academic Achievement awards, for their 3.05 and 3.3 GPA as a team. Excellence in Academic Achievement is awarded for teams who combine for a GPA of 3-3.24, while Distinguished Academic Achievement is awarded to teams who have a combined GPA of over 3.25.
