The deadline is approaching to drop off your old Christmas trees with the Marion County Conservation department.

Tuesday will be the final day to discard your old Christmas trees in Knoxville; a drop off site is located inside the entrance to Marion County Park.

Only natural trees are being accepted, they should be free of tinsel, decorations, tree stands and metal fasteners.

Trees should not be put into plastic bags.
