The Indianola Fire Department recently received a grant worth $4,945 for safety equipment.
The grant, awarded by the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, will be used to purchase equipment that can be used by first responders to check oxygen levels and other vital health information. The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation is a national organization founded in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina, with the mission to impact the lifesaving capabilities, and the lives, of local heroes and their communities.
