The Twin Cedars boys won while the girls lost in their first round Bluegrass Conference games on Saturday. The boys beat Seymour 40-34 with Brock Denburger getting nine points to lead the Sabers. Twin Cedars has the unenviable task of taking on top seed Ankeny Christian on Tuesday. The Saber girls lost to Mormon Trail 48-41. The Sabers had a lead with three minutes remaining and hit two crucial shots to forge ahead. Twin Cedars will travel to Melcher-Dallas on Monday to battle their rivals in a playback game to conclude their conference tournament.
