Two Indianola speech groups advanced past the District Large Group Competition Thursday afternoon at Clarke High School.

Seniors Codey Gillespie and Elliot Magahaes performed “Dust and Blood”, while freshmen Sophie Nelson, Bailee Ellis, and Christina Price performed “The View from Here”. Both groups were awarded a rating of “I”, and will both be moving on to the State Large Group Competition next Saturday at WDM Valley High School. Pleasantville had three groups advance with a “I” rating, with Choral Reading, Improv Stone, and Readers Theatre all making it to the next round, while Short Film and Improv Verploeg were awarded with a “II” rating.
