In the midst of this cold weather, it’s fun to think about going off to someplace warm; and that’s what the Knoxville Senior Center has planned, with a trip this spring down to Florida.

The Senior Center is sponsoring a bus trip to St. Augustine, Jacksonville and Amelia Island from April 6th to 14th; it’s open to adults of all ages, and will depart from the Wal-Mart parking lot at 8:30 that morning.

Shelly Braley from the Senior Center tells KNIA/KRLS News while it’s a great getaway for their clients and anyone else wishing to join in the fun, it’s also a fundraiser for the center.

“Even though the price is so outstanding and reasonable, your dinners are included, your transportation’s included, your hotel stays’ included, it is a fundraiser. We do make a little bit of a commission off it, and we have fun activities on the way there,” Braley says.

All participants are encouraged to bring someone along, as there is an extra charge for those traveling solo; for more information, you can contact Braley at (614) 842-6070.
