Two Indianola and the Knoxville Jazz Bands competed at the state festival this weekend, receiving high marks.

Indianola Jazz I was awarded the highest score from the Iowa State Music Association with a Division I “Superior” rating. Indianola Jazz II and Knoxville each received a Division II “Excellent” rating at the festival. Other Warren County schools competing included Norwalk Jazz I and Carlisle receiving a Division I “Superior” rating, with Norwalk Jazz II receiving an “Excellent” rating.
