A Cumming man has been arrested by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on burglary charges.

According to court documents, 49-year-old Jeffrey Poush was arrested after entering a residence without permission. After entering, Poush was confronted by a resident with an unloaded gun. Poush then assaulted the resident, striking him several times and threatened his life. After sheriff’s deputies confronted Poush that night, they noticed a strong smell of alcohol and Poush registered a .153 blood alcohol level. Poush is charged with Burglary in the 1st degree, a class C felony, assault causing injury, harassment in the 1st degree, and public intoxication.
