An elementary teacher in the Pella Community School District has been providing comfort to children in need around the globe since she was a child herself. 

Annie Foskett is the founder of the Care Bags Foundation, which provides essential and comforting items to displaced, abused, and disadvantaged children worldwide. Foskett tells KRLS News she’s thankful for the growth of the organization from its roots to her hometown of Newton to its spread with global impact. 

She started the charity at 11 years old, and nearly two decades later, it has positively impacted over 25,000 children. Learn more about the Care Bags Foundation on today’s Let’s Talk Pella.
