What a difference 18 months can make; at least that’s what Pella Historical Society and Museums are saying about one of their signature historical treasures.

In July of 2016 (photo below), a large portion of the ceiling in the Scholte House collapsed, with more coming off in the following months. But thanks to the efforts of those raising over $2.5 million for the Forging Our Future Campaign, repairs have been made with new plaster installed from Ita and Sons Plastering in Burlington.

As part of the renovations, Pella Historical Society has ushered in the new Scholte Gardens, which will be fully open this spring, and repairs to the Wyatt Earp boyhood home in the Historical Village.
