Another round of winter precipitation is expected Tuesday after several rounds of snow have already impacted the region.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the region from 6 a.m. Tuesday through overnight Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service, mixed precipitation including freezing rain, sleet, and snow are all possible throughout the day.

In the area under the advisory, a trace to four inches of snow is possible, with higher amounts the further north one travels. Additionally, a widespread glaze of ice is expected, with accumulations up to .1 in the forecast.

Many roads will likely be difficult to travel throughout the day if frozen precipitation falls. Another burst of arctic air is expected Thursday and Friday with wind chills dropping below zero.
