The PCM boys’ basketball team had a tough time sticking around with two-time defending class 1A state champs Grand View Christian on Saturday falling 87-55 in Gilbert.

The Thunder got out to a 22-10 lead at the end of one and never looked back, winning every quarter en route to the 32-point win. Reed Worth was a bright spot for the Mustangs getting back on track with 20 points and connected on four shots from long range. Andrew Van Ryswyk had a 15-point seven-rebound performance.

PCM is now 8-6 overall and 7-2 in the Heart of Iowa Conference. They will seek better results on Tuesday when they travel to Saydel in a doubleheader that can be heard on the KRLS3 Stream.
