Vermeer CEO and President Jason Andringa is optimistic that 2019 can be an even bigger year for the corporation after record sales in 2018.

Andringa tells KRLS News despite last year’s tornado and challenges in supply price with ongoing tariff disputes, the company remains in growth mode for the various industries they impact.

“We are really hearing nothing but positive expectations with the end markets that we serve right now,” he says. “The stock market has obviously been very volatile, there are economists that predict that there could be a recession or even deeper in 2019 or 2020, but we are not seeing any evidence of a slow down at all.”

Andringa says the biggest ongoing challenge remains the lack of qualified workforce locally, coupled with record-low unemployment in the region.
