A new principal will be leading Pella High School next fall.

Adam Beckel accepted an offer for the position, which was approved by the school board this week. Beckel has been at Des Moines Lincoln Schools as a vice principal for the past five years and with the district in other roles since 2007.

Beckel is replacing the retiring Eric Nelson, who took early retirement incentives offered this year.
