The Marion County Driver’s License station will change the dates in which they issue licenses in Pella.
Starting on March 6th, they will shift from the first and third Fridays of the month to the first and third Wednesday’s. Marion County Treasurer Michaela Bigaouette tells KRLS News the change was made to provide better service to Pella area residents, while relieving staffing issues in their main office.
“Not only will this help relieve workflow issues for my staff, but in the city of Pella, those school districts get out every Wednesday,” she says. “So our hope is that will provide some relief…there’s no longer that stress for those parents to get kids up there by 3:30 on a Friday to test, now they’ve got a little extra time.”
When the Pella driver’s license station is open, they will be closed at the Knoxville location in the courthouse.
At this time, the station in Pella will continue to be located at 829 Broadway Street in the Memorial Building. The last Friday in Pella will be on February 15th. For more information or questions, contact the Marion County Treasurer’s office (info below).
