With Indianola being chosen as a 2019 overnight stay during RAGBRAI, city staff wants to use this opportunity to continue to show off what Indianola has to offer. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News there are so many events to attend this summer, residents should expect quite a show.

“One of the things we talk about with our partners, the Chamber of Commerce, the balloon fest, the county fair, when you look at Indianola, we are a powerhouse of summer activities. You now take a world renowned opera, followed by a world class ballooning events, followed by one of the state’s largest county fairs, it is just going to be incredible.”

Waller also said the planning for the event is a months long endeavor, but RAGBRAI has plenty of information available to help the city and volunteers along the way.
