The Indianola Public Library is hosting an event for teens who don’t want to celebrate Valentine’s Day the conventional way, the Anti-Valentine’s Day NERF Attack. Alison Brown with the library tells KNIA News school is out that day, so this is just a fun event for kids to get out and do something out of the norm.
“We always have so much fun with this, and it’s funny because most kids run out of steam before it ends which alway surprises me. There is a lot of running and laughing involved. Before we start we gather everyone together and make sure everyone knows the rules, no shooting in the face etc, and it’s on an honor system but we do different games and it’s so much fun.”
All supplies will be provided by the library, with no personal items allowed. All participants must sign their name in agreement to the rules the day of the event before being able to play. The event runs from 6:30 to 8pm.
