Two cars collided near the intersection of Highway G-28 and Fifield Road near the Pella City Limits Wednesday evening.
According to the Pella Police Department, the two sedans crashed front-to-front at approximately 7:20 p.m. after one of them lost control on the icy road. All four occupants — two in each vehicle, were transported to Pella Regional Health Center with minor injuries. Pella Ambulance and Knoxville Fire and Rescue personnel responded, and the Pella Fire Department assisted with rescue and traffic control.
The road was closed for over an hour as one of the cars came to a rest in the middle of the highway.
