The Indianola Rotary Club is currently accepting applications from high school students to attend RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards). Students attend a week-long seminar teaching leadership, communication, and problem solving skills among many others. Dave Tanner with the Indianola Rotary Club tells KNIA News students who are motivated to improve would benefit from RYLA.
“We are looking for students who are hungry for personal growth, to develop their leadership skills, and who will be looked at for leadership. While they are there, they will learn how to generate a leadership type environment, because without followers you can’t be a leader, so what the followers are looking for so you can spur them and entice them into action.”
