A host of local wrestlers have advanced to compete at the state meet at Wells Fargo Arena starting Thursday.

Three Indianola grapplers will compete in class 3A, as Ryder Downey at 106 lbs and Nick Bonanno at 145 lbs swept both of their matches to claim first place honors, while Brennan Meacham also made it through by placing second at 170 lbs. Pleasantville is also sending three wrestlers, as Cael Lester placed first at 160lbs while Cale Anthony at 220 lbs and Matthew Kauffman at 285 lbs advanced with second place finishs.
