Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian tells KNIA/’KRLS News that drifting snow has blocked many area rock roads, and it may be difficult for rural residents to either get home, or to town. Crews have been working all day to clear roads, and despite their work, blowing and drifting snow have made some roads impassable. Some rural roads may not be cleared until Thursday. He urges caution during travel. If roads look impassible, they are. Do not try to travel where roads have not been cleared, or where there is significant drifting. If you are not home, please consider alternative shelter for the night. If you are home, and there is significant drifting, please stay home. If there is an emergency, or you are stranded, please call 911.
The one to count on for severe weather information is KNIA/KRLS.
