The Pleasantville School Board met in regular session Monday.
The possibility of a shared human resources director was discussed. This person would split their time between Knoxville, Pella, and Pleasantville, allowing the three schools to pay a third of the expenses. The board will be pursuing candidates for this position in the near future.
A presentation was given on Pleasantville’s Iowa School Performance Profile. Pleasantville elementary, middle, and high schools each scored above average in their overall assessments. New hires for several open positions were approved, as well as a pair of pending student transfers. A continuation of a shared trap shooting agreement between Pleasantville and Knoxville was also approved.
The board will next meet on March 12th at the Pleasantville High School Library.
