A new effort of bringing innovators and entrepreneurialism to Indianola, with LaunchPad65. LaunchPad65 aims to provide resources to those who have an idea or want to start a business, and can call on experts to help give them direction or advice. Terry Pauling with LaunchPad65 tells KNIA News the aim is to give ideas room to grow with resources that might not always be readily available.
“What it would amount to is if you had an idea, we would sit down with you and figure out where you’re at, and try to create a plan on how to move through the system and get you what you need. It could maybe be a patent attorney who would help you write a patent application for a widget, or whatever it is you are planning to create. Things like that.”
LaunchPad65 is partnering with the Emergent Simpson College Program, a program that allows students, faculty, and staff to do many of the same services, and will use LaunchPad65 for off-campus use. The Indianola Chamber of Commerce is hosting a ribbon cutting on February 26th to celebrate the opening of Launchpad 65 at Salem Connection from 4:30 to 6pm.
