A Pella alumnus has completed a 1,000 mile trek through Canada and Alaska.

Deke Naaktgeboren finished 16th overall in the Yukon Quest 2019 dogsledding race and finished the 12-day challenge Thursday. The goal was to race the dogs from Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada to Fairbanks, Alaska.
