Central College men’s track and field athlete Will Daniels has been given the American Rivers Conference men’s track event performer of the week after his 60-meter hurdles title at the Darren Young Classic Saturday. Daniels has twice been named the league’s field events performer of the week this season and now adds a track events performer to his resume.
Running the prelims of the 60-meter hurdles in 8.65 seconds, Daniels blazed to a time of 8.37 seconds in the finals. The career-best time sealed first place for Daniels. Between the indoor and outdoor seasons, Daniels now has five weekly league honors. Central will be back in Waverly for the Wartburg Invitational on Saturday.
