the-well

The Well is introducing itself to the Knoxville community on Sunday, by holding a breakfast for potential volunteers, supporters and clients.

Waffles for the Well is being held from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dyer-Hudson Hall on the Marion County Fairgrounds; this event is serving as a prelude to the opening of their new Resource Center on Pleasant Street, which will be put to use sometime in the spring once remodeling is finished.

The object of the waffle breakfast is to let people know what sorts of services they will have available through The Well; the ministry will have a thrift store and resource office on the premises, which will be used to connect persons in need of assistance with the social service agencies or other entities which can help them out.

There’s no charge to attend, but free will donations will be accepted.
