The Marion County Development Commission recognized a group of young professionals for their contributions to area communities.
On Thursday, the Top 10 Under 40 from 2018 were recognized as part of the Best of the Red Rock Area awards presentation. Commission Director Carla Eysink says the initiative, now in its second year, aims to promote local professionals who chose to live and work in Marion County.
“If you ask any business that we talk to about the workforce situation, it is very tight right now, unemployment is at some of the lowest rates ever,” she says. “Keeping those young professionals is very key to the future of those businesses, and so anything we can do to show the young professionals that we appreciate them taking the time to come and look at our companies and invest in our companies and communities, and we can share their stories of success — we hope to attract other young people to our area.”
