Championship Saturday wrapped up at the Iowa State Wrestling meet at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines Saturday, with a host of local wrestlers reaching the podium. In class 3A, Indianola 106lb wrestler Ryder Downey ended in 7th place after a 3-2 win by decision, while Brennan Meacham fell in the consolation semifinal by a 7-4 decision, but earned a 5th place overall finish with a 4-0 decision win.

In Class 2A for PCM High School Wrestlers, Payton Drake at 120lbs ended in 8th place, Colby Tool fell in a pair of consolation round matches to end up in 6th, Wes Cummings at 160lbs picked up a win by fall to earn a 5th place finish, Jarron Trausch at 170lbs also ended with a 5th place finish with a 13-3 decision win, and Lucas Roland at 182lbs also ended up with a 5th place finish.
