A company which lost out on the bid for Knoxville’s sidewalk project is stepping up, after the original bidder notified the city it couldn’t finish the job.
At Monday night’s City Council meeting, TK Concrete’s bid for the 2018 sidewalk project will be reconsidered; they had originally lost out to Absolute Property Services, which has now told the city it will be unable to complete the work.
TK Concrete has agreed to honor the prices it offered in its original bid.
The City Council will also hold a public hearing on the city budget for 2019 and 2020; it’s expected to vote on approving said budget later in the meeting.
The City Council meeting convenes at 6:15 p.m. and can be heard live on AM 1320/FM 94.3/FM 95.3 KNIA.
