A public hearing and vote on Knoxville’s city budget for the upcoming year is on tonight’s City Council agenda.

The Council will hold the hearing on the fiscal year 2019-20 budget, and shortly afterwards is scheduled to vote on final passage.

The city will also vote on switching to a different contractor to finish up the sidewalk project from 2018; TK Concrete was the runner-up in bidding to Absolute Property Services last year, but Absolute has informed the city it will be unable to complete the job.

TK Concrete has agreed to step in and take over the sidewalk project; the company will honor the bid amounts it originally submitted.

Monday night’s meeting begins at 6:15 p.m. and can be heard live on AM 1320/FM 94.3/FM 95.3 KNIA.
