The PCM boys’ basketball team will try to take one step closer to the state tournament tonight when they face Van Meter in Norwalk for the class 2A district 10 crown.
The 13-7 Mustangs qualified for the game after a 47-39 win over Chariton on Thursday. The Bulldogs have had a memorable 19-2 campaign and advanced after a 66-34 victory over Pleasantville. The champions of the West Central Conference are led by Anthony Potthoff and 6’9’’ Ryan Schmitt each with 15 points a game.
The chance to move onto sub-state gets underway at 6 p.m. this evening at Norwalk High School. Listen to the game on the KRLS3 Stream starting at 5:45 p.m. The winner will play either Pella Christian or Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on Saturday.
