Former Pleasantville standout Zeb Adreon officially started up his baseball career in a Hawkeye uniform, as the junior suited up for The University of Iowa for the first time this weekend.
The Hawkeyes went 2-1 at the Diamond 9 Sunshine State Classic Series in Kissimmee, Florida. Adreon appeared in all three games as a pinch hitter and played at first base. The junior went 1-for-3 with one run batted in and one run scored. The 2016 Pleasantville graduate played for Southeastern Community College the last two seasons and had a .351 BA with 41 RBI last year.
Adreon and the Hawks get back on the diamond this weekend in Hawaii for a four-game series.
