As with any team, the end of the season is tough on many levels including saying goodbye to the senior group. For the Pleasantville wrestling team they bid farewell to three seniors in state-qualifier Cael Lester, Dalton Turner, and Daniel Kenyon.

Head Coach Heath Deforest tells KNIA Sports those seniors bought into the process throughout their wrestling career and set the standard for years to come.

“I hope every underclassmen looks at those three and realize those are the leaders we want, not only in our wrestling room but our school. I am really happy with the way they have grown up and become good young men in our program. Their leadership was uncanny.”

Lester finished the season with a 13-3 record, Turner 14-12, and Kenyon was 22-7.
